Back in April, Hot Chick a Latte opened on East Colfax near the Montclair and Park Hill neighborhoods. Now, 3 months down the road a listener wonders if it goes to far.  But the owner and the bikini-clad baristas say it’s all in good fun.

Kaci Jensen used to counsel sex offenders and says her roommate caught a man masturbating outside of the store.  She wonders if the business is bringing dangerous people to the neighborhood.   She also claims women, wearing as little as pasties and very short,shorts,  dance on the sidewalk to drum up business.  

Hot Chick a Latte has sexy themes to everything it does. It features drinks such as “the morning wood” and the menu asks “Is you barista a hot chick?  Drinks are sized B, C, D and double D. Each day the women wear outfits with a theme ranging from naughty school girls to construction workers.  The baristas are also on Twitter. Their tweets are pretty suggestive. Here’s an example:

“Nurse Stacey will make it all better after policewoman Andrea whips your morning wood.”

Hot Chick a Latte is a chain that started in Washington State.  Many bikini barista coffee shops have sprung up on the West coast.  The women work for a low hourly wage but are encouraged to banter with customers for tips.   At some bikini barista operations there have been complaints the women can go too far to get tips. ..  So far, there’s no evidence of any official complaints about the Hot Chick a Latte on East Colfax.
